Mint Chip Pretzel Cookies

This may be one of the biggest statements I’ve ever made but here it goes: I believe I have discovered the greatest recipe that has ever been. Wow. I know.

It’s salty and sweet. Soft and crunchy. Satisfying and finger-licking delicious. Ready for this, it’s mint chip, pretzel cookies. How do you make these morsels from Heaven you ask. Well, lucky you – I’ll share the secret with you.

You’ll need:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup broken pretzels
  • 1 bag of mint chips

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a mixing bowl then set aside.

Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla – mix well.

Add your flour mixture to your butter mixture a little as a time to make sure it mixes completely.

As this is mixing, take a measuring cup full of pretzels, pour them in zip lock bag and beat it Β . . . jut beat it, beat it, beat it, beat it. No one wants to be defeated . . .*ahem*

You should then end up with about 1 cups worth of broken pretzel pieces.

Add the pretzels and chips to your batter and fold in until completely combined.

Isn’t that filthy in the vey best possible way?

Bake for 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees.

Personally, there is nothing that mint and Gene Kelley can’t fix for me. Therefore, for best results, I recommend playing the Singing in the Rain soundtrack when baking.

Give them a try, tweet me a pic and let me know what you think – best cookie recipe ever?
