Roasting Plant, Detroit

I hate Mondays.

In fact, the list of things that I hate more than Mondays is very small – mornings (don’t even think of talking to me before I’ve had coffee), January, getting shampoo in my eyes, wet sleeves, people actually saying “hashtag” . . . okay, maybe it’s not that small but you get the point.

I figure if you’re reading this blog, you’re similar to me and, most likely, hate Mondays too.

So, I’ll say you’re welcome in advance because I have a new find that will make Mondays . . . well, not better because who are we kidding, nothing short of winning the lottery could do that but it will make it manageable which in my book, is amazing.

Roasting Plant Wide

It’s called Roasting Plant and I promise, the coffee will make you smile on a Monday morning. I really can’t think of a better compliment to give them.

Raosting Plant Center

It’s located right on Woodward, next to Campus Martius (which is perfectly convenient for when you want to warm up after an afternoon of ice skating).

If you live in New York, you’re in luck because there are two locations there as well!

The coffee beans are in tubes that run down the middle of the shop and are roasted fresh and to perfection right in front of you.

I got a skim milk latte and cinnamon apple scone. Just look at these bad boys:

The coffee was amazing, the scone was amazing, everything is amazing (except Mondays . . . yep, still going on about that).

If you’re around, give it a try and tweet me a picture telling me what you think!
