The District, Detroit

If the first thing you thought of when you saw that this post was titled “The District” was “Hunger Games”, well you’re not alone. It was my first thought too.

Thankfully, this post is not as dystopian as that but there are onion rings so you really have no excuse to stop reading now.

The District, Detroit MI

The first time I heard of The District was when I was walking over to Campus Martius from the Auto Show. The outside is painted my very favorite color. I stopped walking, stomped my foot and declared on the spot that I absolutely had to eat there.

The restauant is actually pretty spacious but feels small and intimate (but not cramped) when you’re in it which is a total win in my opinion.

If that doesn’t sway you, look at this picture. Is this not the most perfect glass of Diet Coke you’ve ever seen?

Now, the food.

The District Veggie Wrap

The Vegetarian Wrap (red, green and yellow grilled peppers. Heaven. I know).

I guess you could compare it to the Hunger Games . . . considering how I acted when asked to share . . .

There are few things I love more than a good grilled wrap and I promise you, these did not disappoint.

It’s one of the most perfect lunch spots I’ve ever stumbled across!
