Speakeasy in the 21st Century

Guys, I have found my new favorite bar.

I stopped in here a few weeks back for some pre-dinner drinks and have been sitting on these pictures ever since. I recently rediscovered them and decided I can’t keep this place a secret any longer.

Come on in.

The Keep Exterior

The Keep is a new-ish hole-in-the-wall. One of those places that’s only frequented by those who have been told by someone else that it’s there. It’s brilliant.

The inside takes dimmed lighting to a whole new level. In fact, it’s absolutely dark with the only sources of light coming from red twinkle lights (which had me humming Roxanne all night and well into the rest of the weekend) draped over the bar and the huge windows framed with thick, dark drapes.

The Keep Dark

There is a giant chalkboard wall filled with specialty drinks, each looking more delicious than the next.

If sitting at the bar isn’t what you had in mind, there are two tables with great views out to Cadillac Square.

The Keep City Hall

There’s also plenty of standing room . . . or dancing if you’re anything like me and my friends.
The Keep Open Space

It’s the perfect little spot to grab a drink before dinner, after work (they have a great happy hour) or for a late night bar crawl.

You can find them at 140 Cadillac Square but promise me you’ll keep it our little secret.
