I technically started uploading photos to Wanderer and Wolf last fall but I consider the actual of my blog to be early January of this year.
This is when I made the switch from just uploading pictures of things I did and places I went, to engaging with other bloggers and keeping consistent with social media.
When I “started’ one thing that I kept reading about was that your blog needs a theme, you need to be consistent.
I always had that tip in the back of my mind when deciding what content to publish and before I knew it, my blog transformed from something I enjoyed doing for myself to something I was second guessing before hitting the publish button.
Well, I’m done with that. I know everyone is saying the what to dos and what not to dos with blogging for a reason but what’s the point if you don’t enjoy it anymore.
I started my blog as a creative outlet and a place to document my life. Well, where I was this past winter and what was important than isn’t the same as now.
During the winter, I wanted to eat EVERYTHING and discover my new city.
Now that it’s spring, I’m focused on being outside, fitness and delicious, healthy recipes.
Plus, I’m about to start a new job so I’ve been shopping like mad and focusing on fashion, beauty and new technology (finally upgraded to an iPhone 6s, hollaaaa – that was obnoxious. I know).
So, from now on, I’ll tell you now, my blog probably won’t have a theme. The theme is where I am in life and what’s important.
Not to say I won’t give you an insiders view of Detroit or delicious food but I’m officially going to stop not publishing posts because it doesn’t fit into my theme.
Oh and you can be sure there will be lots and lots of photos of the Wolf still.
But tell me, have you gone through this too? Where blogging loses it’s appeal because you’re so focused on the dos and don’ts or is that just me?
